10 Days of Devotion:

Spring Navarātri Sādhanā

Connecting to the Nine Forms of Goddess Durgā

11 videos, 9 Goddesses, and a chance to work with your mind!

Navarātri is a 9-day festival celebrating the 9 forms of Goddess Durgā. The 10th day is considered her victory day! Navarātri is celebrated twice a year (spring and fall) after the new moon and means “nine nights”. It’s a time when the energy is extra potent, and people all over the world are spending extra time connecting to the Goddess or Devī, who is ultimately Śakti.

Śakti is the imminent, immediate, dynamic, creative aspect of the Divine. Śakti is the entirety of the manifested reality - everything we see, think, touch, and feel. The word Śakti directly translates as “power” or “energy”. Śakti is personified as the feminine form of God, as the Goddess. She is worshipped as the Divine Mother, Mother Nature, and many other forms of the Goddess. A few common forms from the Hindu tradition include Lakṣmī, Sarasvatī, Durgā, and Kālī, but even these have additional tantric forms.

📍The theme of the 10-day practice will be working with thought patterns. For the next few days, begin to watch your mind a bit more closely. Notice if there’s a particular thought pattern or storyline that keeps popping up. Notice the helpful ones, the not so helpful ones, and the neutral ones. Maybe even write them down. There may be ones that you want to cultivate more of, and there will likely be ones you want to cultivate less of. Spend some time with your list. Review it after you meditate over the next few days. Choose one, maybe two, to bring into this practice. You don’t need to share them unless, of course, you want to, but during the 10 days of practice, we’ll have time to reflect on that specific thought pattern. I’ll also invite you to do your own reflection each day. If you feel like sharing, please send me a message (DM, email, text).
